CAE Acoustic Analyst Consultant
Tommaso Nizzoli was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy. He holds a degree in Materials Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. In the early 2000s, he began a career spanning over 15 years in professional audio companies based in his hometown. During this time, he was responsible for the design and development of numerous midrange and woofer loudspeaker projects, overseeing all aspects including FEA simulations, measurements, and pilot production. He also managed the setup of end-of-line testing systems. In 2011, he started working independently as a consultant, primarily as an FEA analyst. He collaborated with companies such as LMS (now Siemens), Mvoid, and others, applying his expertise to a wide range of transducer simulation challenges — including MEMS, haptics, piezoelectric devices, automotive cabin acoustics, professional and consumer audio. He has also led technical workshops directly at customer sites. He collaborated on the realization of various AES papers and, in 2019, served as paper chair for the AES International Automotive Audio Conference. Today, he works as a CAE Acoustic Analyst, primarily using COMSOL Multiphysics.
