Prof. Ming Wu

Wu Ming is a Research Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS), where He serves as Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Noise and Vibration Research at the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; a Standing Council Member of the Acoustical Society of China; a Member of the Academic Affairs Committee of the Acoustical Society of China; Chair of the Audio Engineering Branch of the Acoustical Society of China; Vice Chair of the Bioacoustics Branch of the Acoustical Society of China; and Vice Chair of the Professional Committee on Prevention and Control of Environmental Noise of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences.

He received his Ph.D. in Acoustics from Nanjing University in 2007 and has been with the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2009. His research interests include active noise control, spatially zoned sound field control, as well as sound field analysis and reconstruction. He has published more than 60 papers in leading international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Applied Acoustics, and Journal of Sound and Vibration, and holds more than 10 authorized invention patents. He has served as principal investigator for more than 10 research projects at the provincial/ministerial level or above, including the Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Defense Advanced Research Project of China, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
