Dr. Alfred J. Svobodnik is Founder and CEO of Mvoid Audio Technologies, specializing in consulting services, innovative technologies, and integration of audio simulation solutions for automotive, consumer and professional audio. He developed the simulation-driven Mvoid (Multidisciplinary Virtual Optimized Industrial Design) methodology, which is used for virtual audio prototyping in the industry.
Alfred has more than 30 years of research and industrial experience in the field of multiphysics, virtual, and computational acoustics. He is an entrepreneur, thought leader, scientist, and CAE audio expert.
In 1990, Alfred began his career as Founder, Managing Partner and CTO of Numerical Analysis and Design, a firm specializing in the engineering analysis of finite and boundary elements in structural analysis and computational acoustics.He spent 5 years at HARMAN International, where he served as a senior executive in sound system simulations and virtual acoustics.
For more than 25 years, he is a member of the NAFEMS Germany Steering Committee and an honorary member of NAFEMS. He is chair of the NAFEMS Multiphysics Working Group, and a founding member of the NAFEMS Professional Simulation Engineering Program.
In addition, Alfred serves as member of the Executive Advisory Board of ALTI. He is also a full member of the AES and a past chair of the AES Technical Committee on Automotive Audio.
